Official sources & calculator methods

Eternexa is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, authorised by or representing the Government of India, any state government or any government entity. It does not provide official government services.

Results are estimates for general information, not financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Verify the applicable period, eligibility and official rules before acting.

Calculators use bundled rules and the assumptions shown on each page, rather than live rates. Check the financial year, scheme category and effective date on the original reference. What each calculator estimates

Take-Home Salary Calculator

Estimates gross salary from CTC after employer PF and gratuity accrual, then deducts employee PF, professional tax, income tax and your other deductions. The selected financial year controls income tax; current PF and state PT presets apply across the whole projection. State presets are general salary-earner estimates and do not infer personal exemptions or reconstruct past payroll. Enter your actual annual professional tax when a preset does not fit.

Income Tax Calculator — Old vs New Regime

Applies the selected financial year's configured slabs, standard deduction, rebate, surcharge and cess to the salary and deductions entered. Compares resident-individual salary estimates, not a complete return including special-rate income. Check the financial/assessment year on each source.

SIP Calculator

Projects regular investments at an assumed constant return. Step-up and goal inputs change the projection; real market returns vary. No live fund data or government-notified return is used.

EMI Calculator

Calculates reducing-balance loan repayments and the effect of the entered prepayments. Interest rates, terms and fees depend on your lender; no live bank rate or government loan entitlement is used.

Lumpsum Calculator

Projects a one-time investment using the entered amount, assumed return and period. Compounding is a mathematical assumption; returns are not guaranteed or live quotes.

Compound Interest Calculator

Applies simple or compound interest to the entered principal, rate and period using the selected compounding frequency. It does not retrieve bank rates or model tax and lender-specific terms.

FD Calculator

Estimates cumulative or payout deposits at the rate and term entered, using the compounding assumptions shown. Does not retrieve bank rates, calculate your personal tax/TDS, or model every bank's withdrawal penalties. Tax notes are general information.

RD Calculator

Estimates monthly deposits with quarterly compounding at the entered rate. Does not retrieve bank/post-office rates, model missed-instalment penalties or calculate your personal tax. Tax notes are general information.

PPF Calculator

Projects annual deposits and compounding using the rate and quarter shown. Assumes deposits before the annual interest cut-off and an unchanged rate throughout the projection. Real PPF rates are re-notified quarterly; scheme limits, extensions and tax treatment must be checked.

Gratuity Calculator

Illustrates the salary-and-service formula, service rounding and the configured private-sector cap. It is not an eligibility or tax-exemption decision. Fixed-term employment, death/disability exceptions, wage-code adjustments, government service and earlier gratuity exemptions are not assessed here.

HRA Exemption Calculator

Old-regime estimate using the least of rent less the salary-linked threshold, HRA received and the metro/non-metro salary limit. Enter the eligible salary basis, not CTC. This does not determine your complete tax liability.

NPS Calculator

Projects contributions and assumed returns to age 60, then illustrates non-government Tier I normal-exit annuity and lump-sum amounts. Special exit categories, the intermediate-corpus withdrawal options and individual tax circumstances are not fully modelled. Annuity yields are assumptions, not insurer quotes.

Inflation Calculator

Compounds the inflation rate you choose to estimate future costs or purchasing power. The default is an illustration, not a government target or a live CPI feed.

GST Calculator

Adds GST to a base amount or extracts it from a tax-inclusive total at the selected or custom rate. Splits the total for the chosen transaction type. Does not identify the legally applicable HSN/SAC rate for a product or service.

CAGR Calculator

Calculates annualised growth from the starting amount, ending amount and elapsed years. It does not predict future returns or describe volatility.

SIP vs Lumpsum Calculator

Compares regular and one-time investments using the same assumed constant return. Investment timing and total contributions affect the comparison; no live market data is retrieved.

Retirement Corpus Calculator

Inflates entered expenses and projects the corpus and savings needed using the displayed retirement age, planning horizon and return assumptions. These are planning assumptions, not government retirement entitlements.

Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana Calculator

Projects deposits during the contribution period and growth to maturity at the rate and quarter shown. Assumes the rate stays unchanged and does not model every withdrawal or closure condition. Scheme eligibility and tax treatment must be checked.

Salary Hike Calculator

Calculates the change between entered salary figures or applies an entered percentage increase. Inflation-adjusted growth uses the inflation assumption shown; this does not calculate new take-home pay after PF and tax.

Home Loan EMI Calculator

Calculates reducing-balance loan repayments and the effect of the entered prepayments. Interest rates, terms and fees depend on your lender; no live bank rate or government loan entitlement is used.

Car Loan EMI Calculator

Calculates reducing-balance loan repayments and the effect of the entered prepayments. Interest rates, terms and fees depend on your lender; no live bank rate or government loan entitlement is used.

Personal Loan EMI Calculator

Calculates reducing-balance loan repayments and the effect of the entered prepayments. Interest rates, terms and fees depend on your lender; no live bank rate or government loan entitlement is used.
